First, let me say I don't spin. However, since you've come to this page, I'll assume that you do or that you want to. So this is just a short quick summary that might help.
STARTING WITH ALPACA FIBER ROVINGS: First, you will want to start with a manageable length of alpaca fiber. Some very experienced spinners will use raw alpaca fiber right out of the bag. If you’re not there yet, you can purchase roving from an on-line store.
STRETCHING THE ROVING: Pull the alpaca roving into a wide, flat horizontal section. While you want it to be open, you don't want it to separate into small pieces. Start by pulling the alpaca fiber out vertically. You want to do this slowly and with consistent pressure so that the individual alpaca fibers will pass by each other without separating into multiple pieces.
TIME TO SPIN: Now you should have a longer and much thinner piece of roving and it’s time to start spinning. Using your spinning wheel, you will want to treadle your wheel in a clockwise direction. Once you have gotten a start, let the alpaca fiber start winding through the wheel orifice and onto the bobbin. At the same time, you will need to start gently pulling the alpaca fiber out and the twist will travel into the new alpaca fleece as it moves onto the bobbin.
Here is a youtube video that will show you how to spin your alpaca fiber.
Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. 1 Peter 5:2 (New Living Translation)
