Psalm 22:18 They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment
Psalm 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has meltedwithin me.
Psalm 22:16 Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet
Then, those same men, who had thought that all was lost when they saw Christ on the cross, had a revelation. They saw that Jesus could not be contained by death, that the grave couldn't hold Him and that He had indeed paid the ultimate ransom for ALL of us. These same men, who ran away when Christ had been arrested and who were huddled inside a room on the third day afraid that they too would be arrested, had their sins forgiven and their doubts overcome. Most of them went on to die as martyrs.
